Homecoming Scotland 2009. South Perthshire are ready to welcome many people throughout the world.

The Southperthire area is steeped in history and we are ready to welcome many people throughout the world who are coming to Scotland for the year of the homecoming. The first ever Homecoming year kicks off on the 24 and 25th January  - the 250th anniversary of the birth of Robert Burns - and throughtout the year over 100 exciting events will pay homeage to some of Scotland's great contributions to the world: Burns, Whisky, Golf, Great Minds and innovations to name but a few. Not forgetting of course the Open Golf Championship at Turnberry.  The Edinburgh International Festival and the Edinburgh Military Tattoo, which will all carry the Homecoming theme for 2009
